It is said that a dead watch will show you the correct time only twice in a day (24hrs)
1.This is an unacceptable performance / behavior.
2. It is unreliable.
3. It is likely to make one error in judgement regarding time to begin or end.
4. Failure to repair it gives room for a replacement
5. It’s irritable performance overshadows its gold or platinum coating / beauty.
6. Its correct time only last for a second.
7. A working cheap plastic watch without straps or cover will be consulted any time for planning, execution or review because it works.
Do not be a dead watch. Always work smart , be a strong link in the chain, available whenever called upon to perform your duties within your scope and be the best at it.

Very true. A once reliable watch stops working. If not revived, it risks being dumped in a trash can.
I guess its the owner’s responsibility to try everything possible to revive the watch
