In sociology, power is the ability of a person to make another person do something. This might also be called influence or control.
1. Power becomes sweet, addictive and difficult to relinquish when those being ruled over become puppets and lose their right to reason.
2. Power when in wrong hands becomes cruelty and fear grips the followers who get to do anything told them whether right or wrong.
3. Power that uses money or wealth to rule over the vulnerable is not real power.
4. Power which is feared is tyranny that followers always plan to bring it down at a slightest chance.
5. Power which rules with honesty, respect and is exemplary easily influences followers to go an extra mile to do it for the leader’s vision.
6. Power that has character makes the followers stand up for the leader even when he / she errors
7. Power which reigns in justice is trusted to pass a fair judgment in different situations.
Proverbs 28:15 KJV
As a roaring lion, and a ranging bear; so is a wicked ruler over the poor people.
Proverbs 29:2 KJV
When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.
“A man without character can’t reign because power apart from character is Satanic. But power with character is fit to rule”
