BITTERNESS


Meaning.
Being angry and unhappy because one cannot forget bad things that happened in the past.

1. If Joseph carried the bitterness into Egypt, his father & brothers would not have tasted the sweetness of Goshen.

2. Don’t claim to be a Christian if you still harbour bitterness in your heart.

3. Bitterness grows roots if you delay or fail to forgive.

4. Its the root of bitterness that causes you not to celebrate the achievement of someone who already apologised.

5. Its the root of bitterness that tells you not to appreciate the efforts someone who hurt you in the past makes to seek peace.

6. Bitterness is the devil’s tool to disunity whilst kindness is God’s attraction to unity.

7. Bitterness traps you in a prison of long hours of unhappiness because even when people mean good, you always see bad.

Ephesians 4:31-32 KJV 
Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

Hebrews 12:14-15  KJV
Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled.
